Volcanism

Over the years I have acquired a number of rock samples from places I visited; places that friends visited; or in some cases labeled samples found among geology specimens that have been collecting dust in the Science Building. I have examined these with the light microscope, and more recently with a scanning electron microscope in order to learn something about their formation as well as possible mineralogy.
