| Despite
giving up a seven point serving run early to put us at a 5-12 disadvantage, |
| Big Red
played confidently through the first game. We fought back from the deficit |
| and
eventually took the lead on Cindy Teng's five point streak. Cindy gave us a |
| comfortable
lead in the second game, as well, with a nine point service run. St. |
| Pauls came
back, taking advantage of some poor Exeter passing. Down 28-26 |
| late in the
game, we pulled together and played solid volleyball. Thanks to two |
| St. Pauls
missed serves, we came away with a 33-31 victory. More hitting errors |
| plagued our
third game, but we held out, thanks to a seven point service run by |
| Kate Kelly.
It's hard to come away with a win on a day when we have more |
| hitting
errors than kills. Fortunately, the defense kept the ball off the floor and |
| serving was strong. |
